We are super fired up about our Monthly meeting this week! Many of you know Rockford Steele, Real Estate Investor and VP of Commercial Lending at Stout Lending, for those of you who haven’t met him yet you NEED to!! He is a wealth of knowledge and experience and is at every meeting not only for himself but because he is constantly giving back to YOU by sharing knowledge, help, ideas, and direction to anyone willing to ask him.
Rockford is a former U.S. Marine, Realtor, and Financial Advisor. There came a time in Rockford’s journey that he realized how important the concept of quitting was, it was while listing to a podcast about quitting that he had an “ah-ha” moment recalling some of his education when he was getting a bachelors in Economics called the Sunk Cost Fallacy. It was then he began putting this concept of when, how and why to quit something, no matter how much we have into it, to work in his life that he began having the most success!
As Rockford was talking with me about his journey it reminded me of a daily affirmation I used several years ago when I needed to accept (not always easy!) and make some difficult changes in my life “I am Closing some doors and Opening others up”. Looking back I wish I would have taken that step several years earlier! I encourage you to come out and listen to what Rockford has to share and teach you not only on learning when and what to quit but also on why and how to see and accept the best path which sometimes includes “Quitting” so that you can reach your full potential!!!
